Face Value and Place Value

Face value =
          It is Indicative Value of Digit

Place Value =
        It is Actual value of Digit when it is placed at particular place in the number

For Example,

      1) Consider ,  Number  506700

                 Considering Digit 6 , Here face value of 6 is 6
                                                    And Place value of 6 is 6 x 1000 = 6000

       2) Consider ,  Number  3457894

                 Considering Digit 4 , Here face value of 4 is 4
                                                    And Place value of 4 is 4 x 100000 = 400000
